Have you gotten this picture which trying to post your ads on Facebook? Is Facebook trying to force you to purchase Meta One in order to run your business?
This started for me at the end of September. I run ads one, maybe two days a week in about 65-70 AD groups that I belong to. I also post ads on my own page during the week. Three to four ads....usually less.
When I started to post a notice to my page about a new release I got this notice:
I checked your account, and you are not currently a Meta One subscriber.
The limit you're seeing is a standard part of how Facebook manages links in organic Page posts. For Pages where these limits apply, you can include links in up to 2 organic posts or comments per month for free. This limit resets on the 1st of each month.
Certain types of links do not count toward this limit:
Links to Meta technologies (Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp, and Threads).
Links for affiliate partners connected through Facebook's affiliate partnerships.
Links in ads.
To post more than 2 links per month, you can subscribe to a Meta One Advanced, Expert, or Max plan. The Essential plan also includes 2 links per month, while higher tiers increase that limit:
Plan Monthly links Price (USD)
Free / Essential 2 $0 / $14.99
Advanced 8 $49.99
Expert 20 $149.99
Max Unlimited $499.99
If you'd like to subscribe, you can find the option in the Facebook app by going to your Profile > Menu > Settings and privacy > Settings > Subscriptions. Please note that subscriptions are only available through the mobile app, not on a computer.

That's just it. I never wanted to subscribe. Was never a part of this. Just all of a sudden I was blocked from posting more than two links a month and told I would have to pay to post more.
I understand how frustrating it is to find a new limit on your Page, especially when you have been posting your store and blog links for years.
This change is not a subscription you were signed up for without your knowledge, but rather a new limit on the Facebook platform that applies to certain Pages. To help manage how links are shared, some Pages are now limited to 2 organic posts or comments with links per month for free.
This is why you are seeing the message about Meta One — it is being offered as a way to increase that limit, but it is not required unless you need to share more than two links monthly.
Since your sale ends on the 19th and the limit resets on the 1st of each month, your next free link allocation will be available on November 1st. In the meantime, you can still:
Post updates without links to keep your followers informed.
Share links to Meta technologies (like a Facebook post or a link to another Page), as those do not count toward the limit.
Reply with links to people who have already commented on your posts.
For more details on how these limits work and what links are excluded, you can review this guide: .

This is one big rip off
I understand this is a significant change to how you've managed your business page for years, and it's frustrating to find a limit where there wasn't one before.
To be clear, there is no fee to use Facebook, and you can still post to your page as often as you like. The new limit only applies to the number of clickable links included in those posts. You can still share your Halloween collections by posting the images and details of the sale, even if you can't include the direct link right now.

I've shared everything I can regarding the current link policies. Is there anything else I can help you with today?
I'm a small business and you want $500 a month to do what I've been doing for years
I understand that for a small business, a new cost for a feature that was previously free is a significant change.
To clarify, the $499.99/mo Max plan is for unlimited links, but there are other tiers if you only need to share a few more than the 2 free ones:
Advanced ($49.99/mo): Up to 8 links per month.
Expert ($149.99/mo): Up to 20 links per month.
It's also worth noting that links to Facebook, Instagram, WhatsApp, and Threads do not count toward your limit, so you can always link to other content within Meta for free.
If you'd like to share your perspective as a small business owner, I highly recommend using the . This is the most direct way to ensure your concerns reach the teams that manage these policies.

So you are going to cut off everyone's advertising
I understand that this change feels unfair, especially when you've built your business's presence on Facebook over several years.
To be clear, this link limit only applies to organic posts (the free posts you share with your followers). It does not apply to paid ads—if you choose to run an ad through Ads Manager, you can include links as you always have, and those do not count toward your monthly organic limit.
I know this is not the answer you were looking for, but I want to make sure you have the most accurate information for your business planning. If there is anything else I can clarify about these new limits or your account standing, please let me know.
what do you think they are posting? Links to their stores
I understand. For a business, sharing direct links to your store is a primary way to reach customers and drive sales.
While the new organic link limit is now in place, one way to keep your store accessible for free is to ensure your store URL is listed in the About section or the Bio of your Page. Links in your Page's profile information are always visible to visitors and do not count toward your monthly post limit.
As a reminder, your free link allocation will reset on November 1st.
